She was just 30 years old when she showed off her stunning figure on the cover of Playboy wearing just a pair of over-the-knee black stockings.
And Elle MacPherson hardly looked like she had aged a day as she recreated the iconic pose for the Australian edition of Harper's Bazaar aged 49.
The model proved why she had earned the nickname 'the body' in the shot where she struck a slightly different pose with no less striking effect.
With her blonde hair loose around her shoulders, minimal make-up and layered bracelets for the shot taken by musician and photographer Bryan Adams for the August edition of the magazine
The star's modesty is protected by her strategic pose.
Harper's Editor-in-Chief Kellie Hush described the collaboration between MacPherson and Adams as a 'match made in heaven' for the Fabulous at any Age issue.

'When I approached Elle she immediately said she would love to work on this project with Bryan Adams, who is her dear friend, a music megastar and an accomplished photographer,' she told The Daily Telegraph in Sydney. 'It was a collaboration match made in heaven.
'She is in incredible shape for a woman about to turn 50,' Hush added. 'I hope Bryan Adams's images for BAZAAR will be as iconic as the 1994 Playboy cover was in its time.'
After posing for Playboy, Elle went on to have two children - Arpad, born in 1998, and Aurelius, born in 2003 by her former partner Arpad Busson.
Elle is now reported to be engaged to billionaire hotel heir Jeffrey Soffer.
