Didn't you get the memo? Singers D'Manti and Kelly Rowland defy sexy clothing ban in barely-there dresses on Grammy red carpet

By CHELSEA WHITE

What ban? Singer D'Manti wears a see-through dress on the Grammy Awards red carpet in Los Angeles, California, on Sunday despite attendees being warned to keep outfits appropriate

They were warned to keep covered up.
But the chance to flash some skin - and to steal the limelight - proved too much for some of the Grammy Awards female attendees.
One of the biggest offenders was singer D'Manti. While the singer has yet to hit the big time, her see-through dress was landing her lots of attention on the red carpet in Los Angeles, California.

Can you handle it? D'Manti was not the only one showing some skin, Kelly Rowland's cut out dress left little to the imagination

CBS, which is screening the awards, warned that body exposure would not be tolerated at the event on Sunday.
But many threw caution to the wind, donning see-through tops, showing off sexy side boob and wearing dresses with splits that never seemed to end.
D'Manti - her debut single Tonight peaked at number 15 on the Billboard Club Play charts - came dangerously close to a wardrobe malfunction the black netting dress.

So excited: The singer posted a picture of her dress on Facebook

D'Manti manged to flash both cleavage and side boob and almost everything else in the sheer dress which had small sequined areas protecting her from being completely exposed.
The singer seemed very confident in the risky mini dress - which also showed off her legs - before getting to the Grammys she tweeted how excited she was.
'Getting ready for the #Grammys so excited!' she wrote.
'On my way to the Grammys! Big night ahead!'

Not worried: The Destiny's Child star did not look worried that she had violated the dress code

But she was not the only ignoring CBS Wardrobe Advisory which was emailed to all performers and leaked to Deadline last week.
The requirements specifically instruction to 'avoid sheer see-through clothing that could possibly expose female breast nipples.'
But Kelly Rowland was not letting that stop her showing off her enviable figure in a highly structured but highly revealing dress.

The floor length gown flashed some major cleavage with strategically placed panels protecting her modesty.
The mermaid style dress is by Georges Chakra Couture and the Destiny's Child star teamed with Lorraine Schwartz jewels.
Katy Perry also looked like she was dangerously close to a wardrobe malfunction in a cleavage bearing Gucci dress.
'I was inspired by Priscilla Presley in the Seventies... Married to Elvis Presley, of course,' she told Ryan Seacrest on E!. Ryan joked that he had luckily had a lot of practice at staying focused when at that eye level.

The new wardrobe rules also targeted gowns with plunging necklines saying: 'Bare sides or under curvature of the breasts is also problematic.'
Obviously CBS was thinking of dresses like Skylar Grey's which showed off more than just her extensive tattoo.
The 26-year-old's stunning red gown featured a modest high neck but that is where the modesty ended with the sequined frock cutting so low on the sides, double sided tape was all that stood between her side boob turning into a complete flash.
The singer-songwriter was aksed about the rules on the carpet.
'Oops!' she said when asked about it. 'I had to show the side boob, What are they gonna do, kick me off?'

Other music stars made light of the mandate.
Jack Antonoff of fun. said he read the memo but decided to risk it by not wearing socks and 'showing off a lot of ankle' with high pants.
Miranda Lambert happily revealed some leg saying: 'I thought it was funny. Country music has never really been a problem with that.'

Oops: Jennifer Lopez showed off a lot of leg at the awards

With the wardrobe policy heavily policing what attendees wore on their tops, some found ways to show off their figures by wearing gowns with waist high splits.
Jenifer Lopez was one of the biggest offenders in a billowing dress by designer Anthony Vaccarello that had such a high split the gown was taped to the superstar's leg.
Jlo made light of her rule violation.
'As you can see, I read the memo,' she joked as she took the stage.
