Role model: Beyoncé has hit out at the fact there are not enough female moguls in the music industry

In case her multi platinum selling albums are not enough inspiration for females, Beyoncé is calling on women to be stronger.
The Single Ladies singer has hit out at what she thinks is a distinct lack of powerful women in the male dominated music industry - as he documentary Life is But a Dream documentary aired this weekend.
Beyoncé, 31, is good friends with First Lady Michelle Obama, and she has publicly thanked her in the past for being a role model to millions of little girls.

However, speaking to The Gentlewoman, the mother-of-one spoke about how she is making sure she takes full control of her brand for her daughter's sake.
During a photoshoot with Alasdair McLellan, she told the magazine: 'I’m controlling my content, controlling my brand and archiving it for my daughter and making sure she has it and she respects it but there’s not enough of us that become moguls.
'And I think there are many ways to get there.'

Beyoncé is well positioned to learn a thing or two about being a mogul as her husband Jay-Z is one of the biggest names in the history of music.
After building the Roc-A-Fella empire with Damon Dash, he then went on to be president of Def Jam and now owns his own label RocNation.
Beyoncé has followed somewhat followed suit and in 2011 she appointed herself CEO of her brand after ditching her father Mathew Knowles.
The Destiny's Child member says that Madonna is one of her few inspirations in the music industry but admits he management career has not been easy.

She told the magazine: 'I just have memories of when there was no air conditioning in the new building and we didn’t have an office. It was like camping.'
The Gentlewoman describes itself as 'a fabulous publication for modern women of style and purpose', and that is exactly what Beyoncé loves about it.
Editor-in-chief Penny Martin, said: 'It’s an amazing compliment, especially that she engaged so wholeheartedly.
'She knew our magazine well and understood our preference for reality over fantasy.'
