With great power... Spider-Man stars Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone use their fame for good as they promote charities

By J J ANISIOBI

Good people: Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield were seen using their fame for good as they stepped out in New York brandishing signs for charities, on Saturday

It isn't just on the big screen that Andrew Garfield can be seen being the ultimate good guy.
The Amazing Spider-Man star decided to use his fame and fortune for the forces of good as he dined out with girlfriend Emma Stone, on Saturday.
The showbiz couple had been enjoying a lunch date in New York when they realised that they had been followed by the paparazzi.

Shy guy: The showbiz couple had been dining out at a restaurant when they spotted paparazzi and decided to use them for good

Using their creative minds they hatched a clever plan to manipulate the waiting photographers and trapped them in their web of good intentions.
Andrew, 29, and Emma, 23, emerged from the restaurant holding cardboard signs in front of their faces which displayed a couple of web addresses for charitable causes.
The signs read: 'We just found out that there were paparazzi outside the restaurant we were eating in.

Help wanted: The pair were out in the East Village and used their star attraction to help the Worldwide Orphan Foundation and Gilda's Club

'So... why not take this opportunity to bring attention to organizations that need and deserve it.'
At the end of their message were the two web addresses for wwo.org and gildasclubnyc.org.
While the WWO is a link to the Worldwide Orphans Foundation, the Gildasclubnyc is a support network for cancer sufferers named after the late Saturday Night Live comedian Gilda Radner.
Emma's mother Krista survived cancer after she was diagnosed with the illness back in 2008 and they recently supported Revlon's first public service campaign, Your Lips Can Save Lives.

The mother and daughter posed in a loving embrace as Emma opened up about the black and white portrait.
She said to USA Today: 'She still has surgeries to go, and that time period is always kind of present still. So doing that [photo shoot] was just — she's here. We're here together as mother and daughter.'
The 23-year-old starlet continued, 'It was hugely emotional, and I think everyone on set knew that and was hugely supportive of that.'
